but is there a certain way the map light covers have to go back in? I swear I'm missing something simple here but I can't get them to stay in after swapping the bulbs out for LEDs.

Weird. That's exactly how I'm doing it and neither wants to stay in. I looked closely at both and neither looks broken at all, it just seems like the rear two catches don't want to catch.

Yeah I don't know what the deal is but they won't go back in. It's like the two tabs in the back are too stretched open or something. They'll pop into place but won't hold at all but they don't appear to be broken.
