What are the best products for leveling when pulling a trailer? Do air suspensions really work? This is for an '14 ram 1500 st with a 3l pentastar.
What are you pulling? Flatbed trailer? Yard equipment? A small travel trailer? What's the tongue weight?
The best option for leveling is redistributing the weight so that roughly 10-12% of the trailer's loaded weight is on the hitch. Depending on the weight that may mean a Weight Distributing Hitch is needed. Or a bigger truck.
Air bags make things look level, but they're just a band-aid if you have a weight problem.
The thing you need to remember is that, if I recall, the 1500 springs are a progressive-rate spring. This gives a nice soft ride, but as weight is added it sags more than most other trucks. It's the single biggest complaint about the 1500.
