Swapping my 360 for another engine.

So I recently bought my 1988 dodge ram d250 and the engine is jacked. The truck is straight piped and I live in cali so it wont pass smog. The top of the block has a pinhole and is shooting out coolant. I've seen motors online for cheap but I dont know what route to take. I was told to throw a 454 in it. Please help

i could be wrong but pretty sure you can't throw a 454 in either or it would be a lot of hard work since you have to find one in something newer than 91 and swap all the emission equipment with it. i have a feeling it would likely be easier to fix the leaking frost plug or gasket and throw some cats on the truck.
