Thermal bypass help!!!!

I installed the ats thermal bypass. My trans temp got up to 167. And bottom clip end and bottom threaded end leak alittle. I did everything according to instructions. What can I do?????

Just went for another drive and it got to 172.

are you low on fluid and are the lines crossed? thats the only things i can think of. you may have nicked the oring and thats wht it is leaking did you put sealent on the threads? i have the ats buypass and it gets a wet look after 5,000 miles or so.

orings on the threaded lines? Not the clip end. The top line had a oring. The bottom didn’t. And no, no sealant in the threads

its been a few years since i did mine.i did put teflon paste on the threads tho.
ok i watch a vid the lines from the trans to the block have o rings. i thought they all did but i guess not.

I added new orings. So far. No leaks. Temp is hovering around 145.

Omg, that's way too low of a temp... Lol. Just echoing some of the shade that was spread in my threads for the thermostat bypass I make for the 1500 8spd.
