Posted earlier about tires with no success. Little different this time. Looking at Copper Discover AT/3 or Goodyear DuraTrac for my 2014 ram 1500. The cooper looks to be louder with wider tread. Also a little cheaper. The DuraTrac lugs are closer together so think will be quieter. Both have 50,000 miles warranty. Would like opinions on both. Have to install before winter hits. The cheap Goodyears that came with the truck are almost gone with 30,000 miles. Will drive mostly highway and pull a 26 ft camper. Thanks.

I don't have either but I have stock size Cooper ATPs on my 2014 Sport. It's my first time with any Cooper tire and I really like them. The ATP is exclusively sold by Discount Tire. I have read reviews on both the tires you mention and both get great reviews. My next set may be the Cooper AT3s if I don't get the ATPs again when I'm ready for new tires.

I just replaced my SR-A's with Michelin Defender LTX-MS yesterday on my 14 Sport. They claim a lot of good things including low rolling resistance, 70,000 mile tread wear and good overall performance in all conditions. Only have 25 miles on them but so far so good.

I took advantage of the Labor day sales and got them out the door for slightly under $1000 in 275/60/20 size and another $70 rebate filed, so $900+ for the four.

Feel a bit heavier/stiffer than the SR-A's but excellent tracking/ride on the road/freeway and no more single rear wheel spin when I turn a corner under power.

I've had Defenders on our passenger cars with excellent wear and traction here in Michigan and hope for the same on the truck.

I'll do a summary post after I get a few hundred miles on them.

I had duratracs put on a work truck, and at/3's on my previous personal truck same week. Duratracs were a hair better in mud, and waist high snow, wore quickly on a 1ton drw (800-1200lbs on flatbed). At/3's hauled some heavy loads and looked like new after 60k km, very impressed.

Friends have had both, the At3's seem to get the nod.
None last as long as my Michelins LTX M/S tires.
Which are slowly being discontinued, in favor of the Defender LTX M/S.
Just picked up a set, in stock size, couple of days ago.

Wonderful tire. considered going with larger 275-65 size but figured I do not need the extra E capability, axle would not handle the load anyway and would probably never really use it. That and, quite frankly< i am love with the gas mileage i get now, vs my old V-10.

Good Luck on whichever tire you do decide to get.
Those AT3 sure look impressive tread pattern.
that is the one thing I do not like about my Michelins.
They just do not look like a "NARLY" Truck Tire.

Another vote for the ATP. I paid like $800 installed for stock size. I'm like 99% highway driving and don't notice any noise over the stock tires. Depending on the size of your camper, they come in a E rating if you get the 275/65/20 for $230 or so.

I went with the Duratracks. Installed today. So far, quiet and feel good going down the road. time will tell how well they last. Free tire rotation is always a plus. Thanks guys.
