I have a 2017 Ram 1500 with a Ram 4 panel hard tonneau cover. Has anyone experienced the center 2 panels lifting in high cross wind conditions? I live in an area that is prone to high winds of over 100 kmh (60 mph) and on several occasions it has lifted to the point it bends the tab on the back edge of the cover. It has gone back to the dealer for adjustments but still have the same issue. What can be done to resolve this issue?

My 4 panel BackFlip MX4 did never lifted up but also i don't have strong winds here.
However, if the center s lifting up means most likely that wind is blowing inside your truck bed and the pressure pushes the center up.
My BackFlip have rubber seals all around and i don't immagine that normal wind will go under it and if so there are latchs to keep it closed.
You may check your cover for openings where the wind can blow in to create overpressure who will lift the cover up.
You also can buy/make/adapt some laches on the center panel to keep them shut.

Sounds to me like you're going to need a couple extra latches or whatever holds it to the bed rail. You might have to buy them but it sounds like you have a special circumstance and would be worth it to me.

You don't say what brand is on the truck, but my guess is that the middle panels don't have latches. My BakFlip VP has latches on all four panels so cross winds don't affect it. If your current cover gets affected that badly consider upgrading to a better cover.

Same cover here, I live where the wind get extreme at times and it doesn't budge.

It basically comes down to design of current cover and lack of latches in the middle section. Can't think of any way to retrofit your cover to ensure the middle panels are tied the bed rail. Your only two choices may be get a new cover that has middle latches or having to live with current cover and the issue with wind.
