I think a toyhauler is out of your truck's league. They are genuinely 3/4 or 1 ton territory. Please do your homework and know your truck before you buy so you don't get oversold by a trailer salesman. The depreciation on new trailers puts depreciation on a new truck to shame. We got oversold on our 32' and would take a 50% hit to scale down so we have to live with it. "Half ton towable" means RUN if that is the salesman's clincher :roflsquared:

Edit- did the ram towing calculator using a 2015 Express 3.6, 3.55, 8spd. It says 1,877lbs payload and 7,550lbs max towing with 300lbs of passengers/gear in the truck. Using a 20% safety margin (widely acceptec in RV community) that leaves you with 6040lbs of towing capacity. Not much for a toyhauler.

Okay, okay, there are some small toyhaulers out there. Just shop smart so you stay safe and we continue to see you arond here :)

I'll do some pokeing around to see if I can find one but you haulers are heavy your probably going to need to step up to a 3/4 to safely haul one. Just because it says half ton towable or the sales guy says yeah it will do it doesn't mean you should. You turned to the right place many knowledgeable people here.

As for the toy hauler you will want one that's in Your towing capacity witch I beleieve is around 7k next you need to think about your payload the truck you describe will have a apox gvw of 6800lbs goving you aprox 1500lbs payload (there is a door sticker that tells you both the tire pressure sticker has you payload capacity) with that being said toy haulers tend to be very nose heavy crushing 1/2 tons. With payload you need to take in account everyone and all the supplys in the truck and the trailer hitch weight add them together and that's your payload all of that needs to be under 1500lbs

Ideally you need to find a toy hauler that's 3500-4000lbs empty with a tounge weight of less than 500lbs dry. (by the time you add water bikes passangers it adds up fast) and in reality you will want it to be 24-28ft much longer becomes a handful with half tons not that it can't be done there are guys pulling 35 footers, But not a league I want to be in

This is what I found by quick search these are all close but probably not what you want and honestly with the 6 cyl you will be pushing it hard if your tugging 7k up hills.

Here is one that's pushing the limits 2015 Octane Super Lite 222 | Jayco, Inc.

This one is a little more cramped but sleeping situation isn't the best but if it's family maybe yall are close

The weights are definitely iffy on this one

There are quite a few bumper pull toy haulers that are half ton capable, granted your truck is a V6, I assume there are some options still available.

well since u already own the truck - livin lite toy haulers are gonna be the lightest ones u will find period. Unfortunately what u saved by going the v6 route u are gonna spend on getting the lightest toy hauler possible. you will just have to drive slower and be a lot more mind full of ur rig and everything around u. Best of luck

It's lightweight and will fit a couple bikes no problem!
