I had my truck (17 Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4, stock) updated to address the U61 safety recall and at the same time addresses U05. U05 updates the following modules: PCM, TCM, IPC and RFH; U61 PCM only. The truck drives and shifts smoother, but oddly, the MPG seems to have increased 3 MPG according to IPC over 100 miles. Anyone else have this happen? If it is accurate, I'm not complaining. I just want reassurance the range and fuel consumption is being relayed correctly post-flashing.

Maybe the ecu flash cleared out saved values and now it's readapting to your normal driving style?

Excellent point. I'll be manually checking the range and MPG for a few tanks.

I didn't have my truck long enough to notice a before and after of the recall fix at the dealer. Had it a week prior to them doing the fix.

They done mine before I bought it home so I don't know either.... Joe B I noticed in your sig that you have a 5" stubby antennaX I have a question does it still pick up your sat stations and how does it do overall on your regular stations? Appreciate in advanced I hate the factory one.

I definitely noticed better acceleration and improved, more solid, shifting, but sadly, haven't seen any MPG improvements, ;) but that might just be due to better acceleration.

I sent you a PM, not trying to hijack this thread and distract from the OP question.
