Undercoating over spray cleanup on windows

So if you take your car to a shop to get it undercoated, specially with fluid film chances are there will be over spray on the windows.
First time tried regular windex and it made it smear all over the place.

The best method i found is using Spray foam Dawn... spray it, use microfiber cloth and then spray it with water!! Dawn literally cuts through grease!

If you have your own method share it!

The only way to get it off is park in the shade. Preferably the garage and use lacquer thinner. Trust me on this one.

0000 steel wool and it comes right off with little effort and will not scratch the windows. It will actually polish the glass slightly as i found out when some idiot decided to spray paint some things outside and the wind blew the over spray all over my white truck. Took me a few weeks to get it in for detailing but i had to get the windows cleaned before then since it was hard to see.

For known or fluid film, I've successfully used a vinegar and Coca-Cola mixture.

Works best if you use newspaper vs paper towels or microfiber cloth. Course finding newspaper is not as easy as it use to be.

A rag soaked in gasoline also works,so does WD40

Carpro Tar X will also take it off. It melts asphalt right off of paint all the time and won’t hurt a thing. It is a safer version a lighter fluid lol.

Some of you guys are a little too aggressive for removing a Lanolin base Fluid Film from glass!
Any mild degreaser on a micro-fiber rag will remove it.
There is a recipe to make your own Dawn spray reusing the old bottle. It's 2 spoons of Dawn, 1 spoon Isopropyl alcohol, and distilled water mixture, stirred not shaken.
What's nice is it will foam when reusing the bottle so it won't run down the body panel and strip any wax off the paint.

If you aren’t a cheap butt and actually buy good detailing products designed for stuff like that it wont strip the wax. People are just such penny pinchers.
