I saw a post on the dodge durango forums, someone mention a device that is called an "advanced amplifier integration module". It sounds like a before-the-amp harness that converts the canbus signal to usable pre amplified rca outputs (6 of them).

Has anyone seen or heard anything about this device? Ive attached a screen grab from the post (not sure if im allowed to link it). I would love to get rid of the LC8i and LC2i and just get a clean signal that doesnt take forever to de-eq.

It would be nice if this unit will allow us to replace the Alpine amp while keeping the RA3/RA4.

I've seen it posted before, but I don't believe our systems pass any "audio over canbus". Depending on the configuration stored in the BCM, the 8.4 radios put out either fixed or variable audio. On the Alpine system, the radio sends canbus volume messages to the amplifier to control volume.

I have sent two e-mails to PAC about this with no response. What worries me, is in this picture, is the old Chrysler harness, not the new one for the 8.4N radio.

Yeah, I emailed yesterday. Thought I'd get a response today but guess not. I'm not going to wait around.

Spoke to a PAC rep last week at a corporate training. They are coming, but not soon enough. They are launching a line called AMP-PRO to go with their RADIO-PRO stuff. When I get a tad closer to doing my install I am going see if I can get a prototype or be a tester. Their corporate HQ is about 2 blocks from my job.

I would jump all over this! Any idea when you think they might release them?

I pushed for timeline and got nothing. Pricing would be around $150-200 MSRP.

i understand its nice to not have to cut/splice anything, but a processor is still the way to go, ie: MS-8, 3sixty.3, etc...

So bottom line for us audio dummys..What does it do for the alpine systems..

For those of us with the Alpine 8.4AN, we can get a clean, low level signal that hasnt been bastardized by the Alpine amp. You wont need any signal summing, or tapping into the high level speaker wires that you currently have to do in order to get a mediocre signal to send to aftermarket amps & equipment.

Zero. I actually got our reps number and texted him a few weeks back to ask about it. He said he would go over to the R&D department and let me know, but never got back to me. Glad you brought this up, I will try get a hold of him today.

A processor and signal summing works a hell of a lot better when you are getting a clean source. They only sum at the designated volume level, and with how these things are designed, the signal is volume dependent.
