I found out today what your username means. I almost died laughing...
howd you know it was bad? symptoms?/

Well I've finally done it, been putting it off since February but I finally said F it and did my grille, sweat, tears, blood, and a few (nonalcoholic) drinks later and it's done. And I'm glad I painted it it looks 100x better than stock.

Got the pics of the paint still needs clear coat but it needs something else not sure yet what though![]()

I have actual paint for a HVLP sprayer which is why I am confused why it came out like the rattle can paint. Starting to wonder if the place I got it wasn't that great

Coming from a fellow 26 year old I can't believe you didn't know what moose knuckle meant lol
What's the temperature there?
HVLP mists the paint so fine that in this weather it can dry before it hits the surface, leaving that effect. Professional body shops have to adjust the hardener and the mix that they use in hot weather in order to lay paint down smoothly. An amateur trying to do it in the heat we've had here is a recipe for a dry paint job.
