So I am considering lowering my 18, quad cab 4x4. Currently have 2 1/2” front, 2” rear lift. Considering lowering because everyone around me has lifted trucks so I want something different.

Problem I do have though, is I tow a camper. It’s 4500 lbs dry. Probably close to 6k loaded.

Looking for input from those that tow with lowered trucks. I was planning on adding airlift bags for when I tow, but want to see what others experience towing lowered.

Also, what lowering kit do you have? I am not sure how much I would like to lower it yet. Old mini trucker in me says 4/6, but practical me says 2/4 is probably pushing it for towing.

One more question, what size tires on 20/22” wheels?

I tow with a 2/3 GF kit and 2wd front spindles on my 4x4. Airlift bags and a rear sway bar is a must. Our trailer is about the same weight as you. Have been running this for 5 ish years now and never an issue.
