Wiring Hella 500's to the fog light switch

Okay I have done a search and read a bunch of threads and couldn't find the answer. I'm nountinhg some Hella 500's behind my grill this weekend and want to wire them to my fog light switch.... is it doable? How is it done?

The wiring is the easy part!

Tap into (solder on a lead and heat shrink it) to the 12+ going to your current fog light.
Use this to trigger a relay.

Do NOT attempt to add the 500's + Factory Fog Lights on the factory circuit.

Wire the standard 5 prong relay as follows:

30 12+ from Battery (fused between battery and relay)
85 Chassis ground
86 Tapped wire from foglight
87 - Output to lights (if has 87 and 87a, both should be powered)

I would run at least a 16g wire from battery to relay and relay to lights.

so would I just cut the original switch off and splice the 16ga wire to one of these wires? I haven't seen the wiring harness for my 500's yet

I haven't a clue what the Hella harness looks like.
If it has a relay) which it may, you can just run the wire that comes from the relay to the Hella switch to the factory foglight 12V+.
