Bought a 2014 Ram 1500 with over 200K miles on it. Engine , transmission in great condition. Nustart remote start installed. The other day I remote start it. Went to the truck and forgot to put FOB in the ignition before I stepped on brake. Truck shuts down and since then won't start either with remote starter or the key fob. Lights comes on but no messages on dashboard. Replaced the battery and still same problem. Also I can't switch gear to neutral. It just won't move from parking gear. No click or any other sound coming from starter. Checked starter relay and it's good. Any suggestions?

Your security system activated and has locked down the PU. Try putting your FOB right next to the start button and push the start button with the FOB, and start it that way. That should reset the alarm. If that doesn't work Disconnect battery over night then do the FOB next to button start. Since the remote start is non OEM, it's security features may not work the same as OEM ones. You may have to read your owners manual for the remote start to see how to reset its security functions.

I pulled out battery for a week and that didn't work either. BTW it's not push start. I have the front chip fob or whatever you call it

Well, in that case you need to read the manual for the remote start to figure out how to reset the security lockout.

First I have to find out which model of the remote start he installed ;) . It's weird because I have done that before couple of times and it never did that.

Finally was able to get under the truck and found the problem. It lasted over 220K miles

Good find. Don't you hate the sequence. 99% of the time it is something "the very last thing" you did to the truck. In this case the very last thing was a distraction in finding the real problem.

AT least good thing is how easy it is to remove and install. Guy at the store told me he have same truck and had to take axle off to replace it. Mine was just two bolts

LOL. Probably the same "Guy at the store" that I once listened to for advice. That free advice is worth every penny paid. :p
