Yet another ram recall. This time for a turn signal issue. Amazing that they will do a recall for a turn signal not self cancelling, but not for a stupid electric motor failure which causes your cruise control and ABS system to not function in any way or form. Geesh Ram...get your act together.

When I test drove my truck at the dealership my L turn signal would not cancel consistently.
Made the deal on the truck and told them I wanted the turn signal fixed before I picked it up.
Day I went to pick it up and drop off my trade I was told that it was sticking because it needed to break in. The manager told the salesman that they see it happen and usually resolves with use.
I knew they were full of horse manure, but they knew that I had reported the issue.
First day of using the truck the signal sticking got worse.
After work I brought the truck back to the dealer and told them they had 24 hours to fix the problem or the truck is theirs for a refund ( In AZ you have 48 hours to cancel a contract).
Manager scrambled and said it would be taken care of.
Got the truck back 2 days later. No issues since.
Figures now there is a recall. :wtf2:

My first multifunction switch broke within the first six months of purchase. The part is not covered under Dodge's Bumper to Bumper warranty for a new vehicle purchase. The second one broke within three months of replacement. I have received two letters about the recall and the company and dealership tells me my vehicle does not have a recall.

What do you mean the multifunction switch is not covered under bumper to bumper warranty?

Find another dealership to work with. The multi function switch would absolutely be covered by the factory warranty on a new truck unless they could prove you damaged it by misusing it.

Self canceling turn signals are the law of the land in many places. ABS, on the other hand, isn't! Go figure!

This 1000x. Ram knows the cost of the HCU repair is high and is avoiding the recall.

Take your recall notice into them then.

Mine went out after 6 months use from new. Dealer knew what it was and fixed it right away. It was the clock spring in the multifunction switch. This was a coup!e months ago.

I received a recall notice about the ABS on the Official Mopar Site and by Snail Mail. I called the Dealer and they said they don't have the parts yet. This along with a bad exhaust manifold that is under warranty they claim they are having trouble getting. I'm starting to think I made a mistake buying a Ram.

You forgot to add the exhaust manifold. Ive seen/heard of many rams exhaust manifold needing replacement. Even on trucks that arent even old or have low mileage. They all end up with broken bolts.

The Multi-Function switch is a Safety Item

So you should be able to go to the NHTSA website & File a Complaint, even if 10,000 other owners have reported it.

If enough owners have reported it, NHTSA has sent RAM a notice & you will find the RECALL #

there is a recall for the steering column control module (SCCM) in certain 2023 and 2024 Ram 1500 trucks due to a faulty multifunction switch:

This may be the same or another problem
