I'm assuming it does, but does my 2012 Ram have the appropriate plug there that I can just plug in a brake controller too? Looking at buying the Tekonsha P3 controller with 'plug and play' harness. Truck is pretty bare bones, no towing package. Want to confirm that will work.

If there's a better option for the brake controller I'm open to options.... The Tekonsha seems to be one of the better ones from my limited info though....

Thanks for the help....

Not all of them do. Look under the dash, driver side. There should be two plugs ******* one blue and one grey if i remember right. I've seen them with and without the plugs.

My 2012 RAM 1500 Reg Cab had one connector under the dash next to the emergency brake. It was the 4 wire connector that connects to aftermarket brake controllers. My truck was wired with the 4 and 7 pin trailer connectors at the rear bumper.

I just put the p3 in my 09. I bought the "plug and play" harness from etrailer. The plug from the truck is the blue one in the photo (white end is the p3 harness)
