Towing 2010 Dodge 1500 4x4

Can someone help me? I have a 2010 Ram 1500 4x4 and was wondering if it is possible to tow, rear wheels down on a tow dolly? I understand it can be towed all 4 down. I have a tow dolly and do not want to spend any more money to rig the truck to tow 4 down at this time.

I think he means he has a 2 wheel car dolly that you drive the front wheels up on and the rear wheels of the truck stay on the highway.

Oh, yeah you just need to put the transfer case and shifter into neutral. If you have a mode, there should be a neutral button on your 4wd selector. Just push that, and move your shifter to neutral and your all set to go. Not adviseable, becuase parts are still moving, and you could still get a blowout or pop a tire on a nail or something, so it's best to put the truck on a full trailer. But if you have to tow it that way, it wont hurt. Only 2 down is better than all 4 down!

It's not a good idea.
The only way to really safely tow it is to load the front end on the dolly and remove the driveshaft from the vehicle

Yeah that's true, never thought about the driveshaft and everything still turning.

No none down is only safe way you can wreck transmission if you go over 35 even neutral. Pull drive shaft also works.
