Default 2003 1500 4x4 Shocks for towing?
Have a 2003 1500 quad cab hort bed laramie 5.9. I need new shocks for the rear, I will be towing a 17' single axle camper with a max GVW of 3250 on the camper.

Wondering what you would suggest, I am leaning towards Monroe 911187 reflex shocks or Monroe 58640 sensa trac load adjusting with the coil over spring.

I do not do much towing or hauling, just the camper and occasion load of fire wood. Because of this i do not want something that gives a harsh ride.

I am leaning towards monroe because of past experience and price as they have a good rebate right now. Thanks

I used the Monroe reflex on my 2002. I towed a livestock trailer weighing about 5,000lbs. The weight distribution hitch kept the truck form sagging so I didn't need the coil overs. Had them on the truck for 1000,000 miles before I sold it.

So far I am impressed with the shocks. I installed them tonight and put about 20 miles on it. Of course anything would be better as one shock was dead and broken into 2. Raised it about 1.25".
