Anyone have any good tire recomendations
I got 15000 kms on the stock generals and 20000 kms on a set of firestones
I'm towing 28500 lbs daily with roughly 8500 lbs on the rears

Eating up rear tires pretty fast and there is not much choice for a commercial type tire to fit 17 inch alcoa rim

Anyone have good results from any particular brand when towing

I'd call a regular trucking company. I'm guessing your best bet will be a straight tread Highway tire. I know I've seen some trucks from the military with straight tread on 19's though. They was on Ford 5500 crew cabs with 8' beds. I used it once to tow a 1,500 gallon AFFF foam trailer. And it has a 500 gallon water tank in the bed on a skid unit. And those tires have over 30,000 miles on them and they still look OK. But they do suck in snow. Lol. Just a little word of advice. Lol.

My buddy runs the Michelin LTX ms in a 235/80/17 on his 2013 and now his 2015 dally and he gets between 60-70K out of a set. He hauls a 3 car 5th wheel with usually at least two cars up and down the east coast.

Unfortunately when ram upgraded the 3500 in 2014 to handle a higher gvw they didn't upgrade the tire and rim packages so your still stuck having to source an LT tire for a heavy duty comercial application
I'm now trying to find a 19 inch rim package to acomodations a better commercial type tire like would be found on the 45 and 5500s

Wishing I'd have known this was going to be an issue prior to purchase
Maybe I could have worked a larger set of rims into the deal

I run Nitto Crosstek on my dually, I am on my second set. I had a little over 70,000 miles on the 1st set and they still had a lot of life left in them, but work wanted to buy me new ones so I wasnt going to say no. I have been very happy with them, they handle great in all weather, snow mud rain etc. They are pretty quiet and handle great while towing/hauling
As far as I know only NTB carries the tire, but they have different names for different regions, I think they are part of the Tire Kingdom group.

With that 1st set of tires I was doing about 30k a year mostly towing on the interstate, the trailer loaded was about 13000 not sure how much weight was on the hitch itself

Called my tire guy today and he came up with a few models of the nitto tire but e crosstalk wasn't one of the,
Found them online with some great reviews but nothing available here in British columbia
The Toyo open country hd also has some good reviews for towing yet it's a fair bit more money then I want to experiment with

May have to take a drive across the line this weekend to see if can source out those nittos
