Finally got the Power Wagon front suspension bits in the truck this weekend. It ended up leveling the truck to within a 1/2" of level, with the nose down very slightly. Started with measurements of 43 5/8" Rear and 40 3/4" Front, ended with 43 5/8" Rear and 43 1/8" Front. Getting the springs in and out was a pain, but the install was fairly straight forward. My truck has the off road package, so it had Bilstein shocks already. And, with the addition of the PW front, it seems to ride much smoother than the jarring front end would allow prior. I'm completely happy with this mod. AMP Research steps are next to get rid of these Mopar ones that came on the truck. Then AEV Katla Wheels and 35's.

I used part numbers:

2x shocks - 68234553AD
2x springs - 68172138AC
1x track bar - 68193870AC

Looks good! Get some 35s ASAP!

Fixed that for you.

:roflsquared: Lol... It does look like it skipped leg day, but all in due time. Still waiting for the tuner to come out for the 2017 as well. I figure in a few months when it finally hits market for the 6.4, it will be time to get the wheels and tires. AMP steps sbould be at my doorstep next week.

Get 37s, you wont be disappointed! I ended up with 37s and I think they fit the truck perfect. Your set up looks great!

37s do look good! I have a hard enough time trying to fit under the 5th wheel with 35s

Thanks! Toyo 35x12.5 MT's in my future. 37's are just too much for how I use my truck.

Yea... I need to haul a car trailer, an RV, lowboy, etc. I can't have 37's and be able to tow everything I need. I can still get load range E's from Toyo, and just lower the tire pressure threshold down from 80 to 60-65.

I still have to haul my cars around too.

Sweet trans am! I think those cars will go down just like the fox bodies have as an excellent solid base for a build. You can take it so many different directions and the aftermarket is huge.

As far as 37s go, I can see what you're saying when it comes to towing. They're a bit heavy and you will notice them. 35s on 17s looks damn near perfect in my opinion, 35s on 20s just look small. My opinion of course. Either way your truck looks excellent. The white with the off-road package is legit!

If towing were a primary concern of mine I would have installed 35" or smaller tires without the level. As much as I like the PW suspension it is less than ideal for towing...a lot less.

The front doesn't have much effect on the rear suspension for towing. He didn't change the rear out so he will be fine

Adding 2" of lift to the front certainly does affect how the truck performs towing. Weight bias, braking, etc. If you then use WD the softer front springs will sag more. You can fit 37" tires under these trucks without any lift at all, adding soft rate 2" springs to a dedicated tow rig doesn't make much sense.

It really does not affect it at all. I have essentially the same setup and it goes 11000 lb 5th wheel just fine...

Thank you sir. Yea, I've had the direction in which I wanted to take the truck mapped out before I even made the final purchase. Dual use vehicles all have some compromises, but I'm keeping that to a minimum by planning it out in stages. Yours looks great as well. :favorites13:

why didnt you buy a power wagon ?

Because I don't need, nor do I want a power wagon. I wanted a dual use HD 2500 truck with a level using factory engineered parts and 35's. I am accomplishing that with what I have as planned. :happy107:

Read any of the RV forums and they are worse! Everybody insists you need a 4500 with a hauler bed to pull a pop up camper and then only if you weigh it at the cat scales first! Truck looks good cuz!

Lol... Funny.

Thanks! I appreciate it.

I'll post up more pics once I finally get the AMP Steps and the wheels/tires on. :naughty:

Just want to confirm you must order two of each part number(they don't come as a pair)? Price seems to be on the high side. I was expecting it to be a little less expensive than the Thuren setup.

Never mind. Answered my own question after pulling up the springs. It is still a little cheaper.

Just an FYI. I took the best price I could find online to my local dealer, and he beat it by $50, plus I didn't have to pay for shipping. I would at least give your local dealer a chance if you have one. :happy107:
