Okay I know this has been beaten to death but there are so many threads that contradict the others. I have a 2016 ram 2500 6.4 hemi put a rcx front 2.5 level kit on and a 2.5 lift in the rear to keep the rake from factory. I want to know honestly what back space people are running and the size tires with a similar setup. I do not want the rubbing issue at full lock as I still tow with this truck that is why I kept the factory rake.

The most popular combination is a 35x12.50 tire on a 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 or 5 inches of backspacing. This gives an aggressive look without sticking out too far or rubbing.

I disagree about offset vs. backspacing. For me backspacing is much easier to understand and visualize. Also backspacing is constant and doesn't change with wheel width.

Should be able to run 20x9 with the +18 to +25 with 35x12.5 and have no issues at all with rub.

I went with 20x9 with +18 offset and smittybuilt flares. The set up turned perfect. The flares just barely cover the 35/12.50s....

I think you're actually confusing backspacing and offset. Offset keeps a constant tire position regardless of wheel width where backspacing can position the tire drastically different depending on the width of the wheel. It's all broken down in the article I linked. And due to the inconsistencies in wheels, backspacing can be different for wheels with the same width and offset.
