Spacers might be making things too close

its funny bc i bought them to lessen any issues.

I think i'm going to mini sledge them inward, and flat. and then bedliner them.

Well your rims are offset right? So that's adding a lot of extra offset, moving things closer to the truck at full lock

There is actually less backspacing on these by a half inch.

Really? That's odd for an aftermarket rim.

Factory actually had a little negative offset I believe, and these are zero offset. I did a bunch of reading and jk and xj owners cut and fold their pinch seams all the time.

I have learned once the shop tech encounters something unforseen, he stops and gets a "woe is me" attitude. I get the whole annoyance of things not going as planned, but my patience is growing thin. When I have to drop what I'm doing and spend all of ten minutes on Google to solve an issue like lug nut fitment, or how to fold a pinch seam, my confidence dwindles.

Factory 20s have about an inch of positive offset I think.

5.25 BS on a 9 inch wheel is .75 inward. Is what I had found. But perhaps I'm wrong. But regardless. The 2 inch spacer would more than fix that. O well. I will make it fit. Lol. Just reporting all my findings so hopefully others trying the same thing don't get into the same bs.

And you're doing a damn fine job! Can't wait to see some pics of this beast flexing out in the wilderness! Or the mall parking lot, whatever is easier lol

So i reclaimed my bumper from the "body shop" Of course my bracket dilemma below would be much easier solved if i had the truck in front of me. I'll be measuring monday, unless one of you kind gentleman wants to measure me some frame rails, or give me some insight before then.

What do you need measured

front framerail ID and OD , between the 2 front rails. . See how my brackets are installed 2 different ways?

i need to know which way is right. If the ID of the framerails is the smaller width... the 30 7/8 ID and OD of 36 1/8...(approx) i'm going to have to cut the **** out of these brackets. Just trying to plan before i would stop back out at the shop next week

like if i cut the bumper brackets off, its going to expose a square frame rail on both sides...i need ID and OD between the 2, so the brackets and my bumper pics can slide over them.

Unfortunately my friend, my front frame rails are exactly 30 7/8 apart ID.

Well thank you very much buddy! That helps me greatly. I have them mounted for that position on only 2 bolts instead of the three, which would physically lower the bumper. It may bolt on that way, it may not. I will have to notch the brackets if it needs to go in the middle (all three bolts position)
thanks again!!!
