Gonna try something.....swapping on OEM R/T wheels tomorrow to make sure I like the look. If I keep them I'll be widening them to 10" so I can run a 305 tire and not look all ****** up on a 9" wheel. I think it's gonna look nice.

How bout 325's . I had 22's on my 01 Tahoe. 22x9.5 and ran 40/305's up front and 40/325's outback. Looked good also had a djm 3/5 kit

9.5 isn't wide enough of a wheel to run 305. IIRC 9.5" wheels are only good up to like 275 or 285 depending on sidewall length. You lose A LOT of grip when you stretch a tire to a wheel to skinny or too fat, period.

I think your current wheel choice is MUCH nicer than the R/T wheels...just not a fan of that wheel at all. Just my opinion, obviously its your truck so you have to like it not me lol

R/T's are 22x9 so adding an inch will make it 10" wide. The backspace on SRT wheels is 25.4mm or 6.5", R/T's are 19mm so adding the inch will make them 6.8". A 1/4" spacer which I already ordered will bring the overall specs very close to the SRT wheels....they'll be .3" wider which is nothing.

Hmmm don't remember stretching . This was 2002 or so . Fit great I thought. The 325s were a bit much but didn't have issues

10" is 275-285 on my mustang. If the SRT is 305 at 10" wide you'd need 10.5-11" wheels to get a 325 on properly.
Also, can you get your hub length changed when you have the wheel widened? I imagine they could weld the spacer on then machine the important tolerances. Expensive if possible, but preferable to spacers IMO

Swapped wheels with Dubstep yesterday. Forgive the crappy, dirty pic. We're having a little bit of a flood issue around here right now. lol
I need to do some measuring and see exactly how much widening I can get away with then I'll ship em off to be cut up and throw some 305/40's on them.

I honestly think BOTH trucks look better after the swap.

Can't wait to see what Arrington says hehe

Definitely both look better. Dubstep Shep, have you considered paint matching the outer ring/lip of those?

Give me a few w my shop-fu and I'll show ya what I mean.

Cheap and Quick Example, only spent like 10 minutes on it. Needs more time to show the idea better and get past the inherent Van-Halen-ness of it.

I may plastidip the wheels black to see what it looks like. Might try white as well, but I doubt I'll like that was much.

Whenever I figure our what I like I'll take the wheels off and get them anodized, painted, or powdercoated. Not sure yet.

Pic the other day after it left the detail shop.

Then I swapped the chrome bar grille insert for the honeycomb insert...just wasn't feeling the chrome.

I drove my truck to work today and was really proud to show off my clean truck...

And this is the first thing I see on the internet today. And my truck is boring lol.
