Trucks put Dodge on the map and the Rams were just a marketing image. I can't separate the 2 after having so many over the years. Wish they would have left it alone.

I was debating swapping my rear badge for the big rams head. But I'm as pissed about it the other way around... I didn't notice that my challenger didn't have the ram emblem anywhere on it until well after I bought it... Just like they took dodge off of the 2011 ram, they took the ram emblem off of the 2011 chally. Splitting the brands robs the heritage from a lot of models. And the non ram dodge logo looks stupid IMO.

Its a bunch of marketing-types who probably dont even drive the cars they are marketing for, sitting in a conference room somewhere with flipcharts and white boards, trying to come up with new ways to justify their paychecks LOL

It will ALWAYS be a Dodge Ram to me.

Just like my 72 Barracuda will always be a PLYMOUTH to me.

They are trying to make the Ram "brand" stand on its own, my guess is because they are going to kill the Dodge brand at some point.......

Yet another great marque, with all its heritage, flushed.

I replaced mine when we painted mine. I like the badge without "DODGE" on it better. :D

2011 must have been the swap for the chally too - my brother's 2010 RT had Ram's heads on the front badge and the wheels.

Why was it ever there in the first place? The ram's head has always been associated with Dodge trucks, not cars.

That tray is the only dodge thing that's staying on my truck. I swapped out the tailgate badge for the 2011 Ram head because I just don't like the looks of the badge with dodge on it. It erked me since I got it just like the chrome emblems did. I've actually never really referred to my trucks as a Dodge Ram but as a Ram because it's easier or lazier to say, lol. Anything reason why I like saying just Ram 1500 over Dodge Ram 1500 is because everyone I know that has a truck, when I ask them what they drive they say something short, sweet, simple, and to the point. Things like f-150, tacoma, s-10, titan...ect...

Hell, as i think back to it, I've always just called these trucks Rams and the day that I started calling them Rams was the first time I saw the movie "Twister" back in 96...I was 11 and I think that's when I popped my first chub in the automotive industry, lol. He rolled up with that beautiful Red 2500 at the beginning of the movie and I was like :jawdrop: :Jedi:

True, but I liked the fact that they wanted to associate the branding at one point. Muscle cars, trucks, and all other things that are strong, fast, and loud can be cousins IMO. Now, I was kind of pissed about the Neon having a ram emblem on it...
