I have a 2010 TRX4 with the 5.7 and every time I fill up I'm able to put different amounts of fuel in my tank. sometimes I can completely fill it and sometimes I only get 7/8 of a tank or less. I highly doubt there is anything wrong with my fuel gauge so I'm assuming the pump is stopping short of full because it thinks it is full (if that makes any sense)

anyone else have this issue?

I have the same issue some times. I just account it towards the pump doing it.

Have your vent tube checked. My XJ used to do that. After replacing both my fill and vent tube, the problem went away, and I could fill the tank completely.

it's a bit weird to fill due to the angle. some of the nozzles won't even fit properly such as the ones with the hook on them. my biggest problem is money tho. i have the 125L tank and it costs about $80 just to fill from half

My main problem is the pumps have pre-set limits of $75 or $100 and I'm often in too much of a hurry to run my card again. Also, with all the fraud protection crap these days it often makes you go inside and show ID for a second back to back authorization of a card.

Yeah, with the 32 gallon tank you hit those pre set $ limits real easy on the card

yep, especially with diesel, if I run really low, I expect to either A.) not fill up all the way, or B.) run the card twice. I'm not a fan of the limits at the pump.

I have hit my limit trying to fill the tank and my 5 gallon gas can. I only got the gas can about 1/2 full before I hit the limit on the card.

Topping off the gas tank can result in your paying for gasoline that is fed back into the station's tanks because your gas tank is full. The gas nozzle automatically clicks off when your gas tank is full. Any additional gas you try to pump into your tank may be drawn into the vapor line and fed back into the station’s storage tanks.

You need extra room in your gas tank to allow the gasoline to expand. If you top off your tank, the extra gas may evaporate into your vehicle’s vapor collection system. That system may become fouled and will not work properly causing your vehicle to run poorly and have high gas emissions.

I stop when I hear it "click". Never EVER continue forcing fuel in. Not saying anybody is, just a word of caution :) and no, i don't have a problem filling my tank.

I HATE this crap. Why in the hell did they even set the limit, sheesh. I can go out and buy a $100,000 Porsche and a red flag wouldn't even be raised (aside from the fact that, that bish would be declined!)

i usually add a bit more just to even off the price but it's usually only like 10-15 cents

The trouble I have filling up is making sure I dont have a heart attack when I see the price of gas.... $1.52 a liter yikes!

I have yet to completely "fill" my gas tank up.

yep and something like 70-80 cents of that is all tax and to top it off the HST also applies on top of the other taxes which is pretty ridiculous. i've been filling from half so it doesn't hurt as much but it's still around $80
