Well I got my ride & have some issues that need to be resolved by the dealer.
Don't get me wrong....I love the truck, but when you go over everything detail by detail with the dealer & factory order the truck to get exactly what you want....you don't expect such obvious miscommunications. Besides the dealer had the truck for over a month before I finally got it. Is that not enough time to get things right?
The dealer didn't order any of the accessories until the truck had already arrived. They told me they can't order the parts until they have it. When they ordered the Ambient Lighting they discovered it was no longer available. I called Mopar Canada & they said it was discontinued but could be sourced from a US dealer with no problem. So that's going to be ordered & installed at a later date once it arrives.
I arrived at the dealer to pick up the Ram. Instead of the Ram Performance Hood Decal I ordered, they installed the standard hood decal (which doesn't align properly with the flared nostrilled hood).
So I'm having a look over my new truck when I see the sales guy take a cloth a give one of my Bushwacker fender flares a wipe. So I take a closer look & see that there are clearcoat runs in the fender & it looks like it has had the crap buffed out of it.....totally swirl marked & blotchy...noticeable even on Bright White.
I later examined the rest of the fender flares & they all have signs of clearcoat paint run & buffing. I also noticed that the rubber edge protector had also pulled away in a couple of places.
I requested & paid for the "pre-painted at the factory" Bushwacker Pocket Flares. What I got was the ready to paint version that didn't turn out so well.
Other minor issues I've discovered is the base of the antenna is all chewed....I'm unsure how what would happen.
The driver's side vent on the performance hood is popping out & won't pop back into place.
The bedrug tailgate portion...the adhesive isn't holding it in place.
When I picked the truck up the Retrax tonneau was fully open because my factory wheels were in the bed. Once I got home, after I removed the tires, I discovered I couldn't latch or lock the tonneau cover in place. The install was done poorly with the rails not lining up equally down the length of the box. I had to uninstall the tonneau & start over after reading over the instructions thoroughly. I wish I was more of a handyman....would have been much easier then I think.
I contacted the dealership this morning & they apologized & agreed to get these issues resolved. This dealership has a decent reputation with their customers with nothing but positive reviews, so I'm optimistic for a positive end result.
