I was wondering what spot you guys are using to lift your truck up using a floor jack? Can both wheels on one side be lifted from the middle of the frame rail and then position the floor jacks front and rear? My big concern, is the frame strong enough to lift the truck anywhere along the rail? With a boxed frame I would think it would be fine.

I only do one corner at a time our trucks our very heavy and I don't think it is a good idea to attempt it but you could jack up by differential housing. Use jack stands much better.

Does anyone on here do their own work? If so please tell me what works best to jack up these trucks. I always have used the center of the diff but I guess it can't be lifted by that either.

You can use the rear differential to jack up the rear end. And on the front its best to do one corner at a time. And ALWAYS chalk the tires, and ALWAYS use jack stands that are rated for the weight of your truck.

I thought I read that the new rear riffs are too weak to lift the truck up.

Well in that case then you should do each corner one at a time then.....

I jack it up only on axle or frame personally and yes I do most of my own work except pain in butt stuff or differentials.

I Personally don't jack up by the rear diff either. But undo have a hydraulic jack to make it much easier.
