Question for you guys.

I have a 2011 1500 and my dad has a 2009 1500. My dads key fob a few months ago started acting super sensitive and just walking around with the fob in his pocket would cause the door locks to unlock/lock like crazy to the point where the windows would roll down with that crazy feature. He has the ram boxes so he just locks the truck and then hides his keys in the ram box instead of dealing with the truck locking/unlocking several times before he gets out of range. Now my key fob on my 11 is doing the same thing, but I also have the dball remote start so it rolls down the windows and starts my truck. I've replaced the batteries in both of our fobs but same issue. Dad called the dealership and they want over $200 to replace and program a new fob. Anyone have any answers or options?

Hi jaked1500,

Did you or your dad have a full diagnosis completed at the dealership to determine the replacement/reprogramming of the fob is the best resolution? That may ultimately be what needs to happen, but it might also be helpful to have a diagnosis done to make sure!
