My Shiny New 2016

So guys about a month ago I wrote off my 2014 SLT by hitting a moose. So finally the check has come through and I hurried off to the city last night(4 hour drive) to be at the dealer when it opened at 9am to start looking at trucks. He showed me a couple then I said I was just going to walk the lot and look. I stumbled across this 2016 1500 sport. Had everything I "needed" except the back-up camera. I asked him about it they had no idea about the truck, apparently a load was dropped off near quiting time last night. I told them to Order the backup camera and I'll be back in a few weeks to have it installed. Well I have to say I'm in love! Does anyone know if the 2016 ram has functioning apps? The app section is there but it just seems to be all the options in one spot. Can I start my truck with my cell phone yet?

Nice ride man! 8 hour round trip is a lot for a backup camera, but hey I get it. New truck, driving is exciting again lol

I'm a Ram truck salesman.... All the apps should be pre loaded. They are on the 15's but the 16 is a different head unit. I haven't played with the 16's yet, I'll do it when I get to work this morning.

I'm guessing you haven't seen my girlfriend try to back up a truck. The trip is not just for the camera, also get some Xmas shopping done while I'm in the city.

You will need to register the apps/truck with your UCONNECT account most likely before getting full functionality.

It just worked out, I went in said I needed a truck with the 3.92 rearend, trailer brake, and had to be a crew with the 6.5" box. This was the only one to fit my criteria, and to top it off this colour was my first pick. Also looked at a black edition, had less options and cost a lot more for just some black rims and badges.

Not to mention 8 hours behind the wheel of the Ram is enjoyable! (for me anyway) :happy107:

Just don't drive the truck in reverse for the first 4 hours

If its anything like my JGC, the apps will be a PITA, I wish I could download one to play Angry Birds on my dash while stuck in traffic.
