Hey guys I bought my 2012 crew cab 2wd bighorn a few weeks ago and i'm loving it. The ride is super smooth. Lots of room and power with the hemi

My question is has your gas mileage gotten any better now the you have put some miles on it?
If I drive normal like I do and not baby it i am averaging 15 currently I have 480 miles on the truck
But when I reset it on the highway I get around 22
I was thinking maybe as with my race engines I've built they start to make more power after the rings and bearings have seated really well

What are you guys getting?

It should better as it breaks in, but you will only see 20 ish mpg on the highway and after a reset because the evic is show you average mps

Welcome! It usually gets better as you break it in. Lets see pics of the new truck!

I'm up to 3.5K and see some improvement probably due to me becoming more familiar with trannie shift points and gas pedal tension.

But hey, what do you expect? You've got a HEMI with way more HP than displacement!

As I understand it, there are no tuners for 2012s yet, so your options are cold air induction & ported throttle body for the engine, headers and lower back pressure exhaust mods, and a tonneau cover to improve airflow across the bed.

Once the tuner is avaialbe there are a lot of guys on here talking big hp and good mpg gains.

Any of the Senior Members want to pile on? :angry94:

Here's the only pic I have taken so far

I would like to take out the drop in bed liner and have a spray in done, and a bakflip F1 (I had one on my 2011 silverado and loved it) then I'm thinking a 2/4 drop would be killer
Trouble is I can't find much on lowering crew cab rams...
Anyway let me know you think

That truck looks a lot like the one I bought back in July of 12. Here's how it looks now!

Yeah, it will get better as you put some miles on it.

Good looking truck!
