Accidentally found out my Eco will run 110mph today. Highway driving. Slow guy in front of me decided to see how fast my truck was when I was passing him on the straightaway. 110! Cool! I mean whoops!

Nice.... I've hit 105, once, just to see what if felt like in the truck. Probably won't do that again. Now, trying to get to work on time, I've seen 85 or 90 a few times with no problems... feels the same as 65 or 70.

I've hit 90 several times but not for very long, usually passing. I used to hit 120 on my snowmobile all the time but that was when I was 10 foot tall and bullet proof, confidence of youth I guess. Lol

As a side note... it seems on this forum and one other I am on guys are racing all the time. Just driving down the highway and the truck next to you calls you out or tries to show you up. In 18 years of driving this has never happened to me unless it was a buddy on a back road. Where are all these race trucks I read about?

I've had the ole pentastar up to 105 just to see where the governor sat and she still had some to give and obviously I never hit a governor. I don't feel comfortable whatsoever pushing it any further lol

On the track no problem--on the street not so much. In my experience, anything over 100 is really messy to clean up. Parts, both vehicle and body parts are scattered all over.

My limited experience and research leads me to believe that the OEM sets the speed limiter at or slightly below the tire speed rating they deliver the vehicle with.

My truck was at 114

My08 Charger was 118ish

Both those corresponded with the tires the vehicle came with new.

I believe that all of the limits of all my toys must be ( safely if possible) explored. cornering braking etc. Only by pushing them can you be aware of what they are and that has saved my bacon, especially on my motorcycle, more than a few times. IN the case of my motorcycle, recently I had to " straighten up and brake hard then lean back over having come into a blind corner a little "hot" with a deer in the road.

Having said that, once I know where they are I see no reason to constantly push it: I am amazed when I get passed when I am going 9 over going to work on a busy highway by a SUV going in excess of 90 with kids n the car/ on the phone etc.

I'm not saying what I have done is correct or legal Its just my preference.

I also take all my cars down the track, weather it goes 11.9 or , embarrassingly 17.4. I just gotta know.

Anybody have the guy they race brake check you so hard you almost hit them after THEY beat you? Just happened, a dude did a fly by me, then wait for me to catch up. After we floored it and he pulled me, he slammed on his brakes down to 35 in the middle of highway traffic! I was livid [emoji35] if I would have hit them, I would have beat the **** out of a power stroke ******

That usually doesn't happen on a race track---not being judgemental, just say'n------if he's driven a Ford, God only know what he might do.
