Quick question. I was talking to a guy about lowering my 14 ram quad cab with a 2/4 drop and doing either a 24" or 26" rim and tire. He told me the tire sizes I would need to stay at a factory size so my speedo and such wasn't off....but I didn't write it down and now I can't remember. Anyone able to help me out?

You can run (almost) any wheel you want but what your guy is recommending is that the overall diameter of the tire doesn't exceed the stock size, though I know there are people on here who have run a bigger overall diameter tire over stock on a lowered truck.

You can run whatever wheel and tire size you want. There's ways to reprogram the speedometer/odometer for the difference in tire size after the fact. Don't limit yourself to one tire size just to keep your speedo correct, get what you want and fix it afterwards.

Decided to go a different way....picking up my new '16 4x4 tomorrow. Guess I'll be going up and not down.
