I know its a big horn and looks like it should be lifted. But I have no use for it lifted. I figure lowered its gonna handle better, be easier to get into the cab and bed, look good and maybe get better MPGs (doin 14avg). Am I stupid?

Stupid is kind of a harsh word. It's your truck, do what u please, what ever suits ur needs. I have an 09 CC 4x4 and plan on lowering with a 2/3 in the next few weeks. Good luck with ur decision making!

Yes, yes, yes, and maybe.

Lower that TRUCK!

My opinion:

4 door: lowered
2 door: lowered
4x4: lowered

Yup, that pretty much sums it up! :********:

If you wanted to lower it, would of been cheaper to buy 2wd to begin with.

Mines 2wd. I am kinda at odds with myself. The color makes me think it would look awesome lifted, but I just have no use for it. The first one I looked at was a sport but I just have this thing, trucks should come with chrome bumpers.

Sorry, there I am not reading fully again. My last ram was 2wd and I was kinda back and forth about which way to go. This truck I went for 4wd. Do I need it? No. But would rather have it in case. Anyways, will lift it in the future. Depends which way you prefer really. I don't see a problem in lifting your 2wd if ya want too. Look into CST lifts if so.

I will be lifting my Laramie 2wd in the future..... It's all about what you want and what you need, nothing to do with doors, drive trains, colors etc

x2, it's all based on personal preference. IMO, i like trucks level or lifted about 2-4 inches and tires to match so the whole truck looks proportionate to itself. just my 2 pennies

Nahh i gotta do a kit. I like a raked look so im leaning more towards a 2/3 if Im gonna do it. I guess then my questions will be concerning the ride of a deluxe kit with spindles vs just springs.

Sweet!

With lowering springs the ride will be a little on the rougher side, but seeing as these trucks ride like cadillacs to begin with, it's not much or anything really noticeable.

The spindles will maintain factory ride, but they might make your front tires stick out 1/2 inch. I say might, because sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. Doesn't effect anything, just the way the spindle works.
