Installed these Thursday morning with the HBS 2" kit. Painted them, was excited to get them on. Drove the truck about 2 miles that night, didnt want to drive too much before getting it aligned. All was well until I went over a speedbump at about 5mph, and heard a clunk. Got it home and this is what I see. (CLARIFICATION: I removed the nut and removed the BJ from the knuckle!) The other side is fine, but I'll be keeping an eye on it. I put the stock one back on for now, sending this one back and will give them another chance. Seems like a bad press fit.

Otherwise, the install was smooth, I like the way the truck sits now. 1" rake instead of 3" before.

There was another thread on here about a Mevotech UCA doing this but overall most people are happy with them. Looks like you just got a detective one.

But with that said I second the Bilsteins. Or Rancho Quick Lifts. I'm running the Ranchos on the stick UCAs with no problems.

Thanks to everyone who thought this was another spacer vs bilstein thread. But it's not. Can one of the bilstein fan boys tell me what advantage they have set at 2.1 over a spacer kit? (Wouldnt go to 2.8 for geometry reasons) Our how they would have prevented this defective associated part from failure?

I think you guys buying all this new **** like to make **** up too. "Oh, 2.8 is sooo bad". Had them there for 4 years along with plenty other people and no issues. You ******* should have truck wigs made for how prissy your damn trucks are.

hmm. Might have a point. I debated using the stocks until they broke. Just wanted to do it once and do it right.

Obviously the spacer isn't as "good" as a full strut setup. My point is, bilsteins wouldn't have changed the fact that this arm had a bad press and failed.

That sucks, never seen the ball joint come out like that. I went with Moog just because I couldn't find enough reviews about MT's for me to buy an unknown brand. I feel that you got bad parts and if MT wants a rep then they'll replace it no questions asked.
