Shock recommendations for 2wd 14' QC 1500

Looking for shock recommendations for my 14' 2wd QC 1500 with a 2.5" level lift and 33x12.5r20 tires.

Why is that? Shouldn't the shocks be longer to compensate for the lift?

In theory, yes that makes sense.

For our trucks, no. Our shocks are the component that regulates the amount of travel. When you increase the shock length you increase the amount of travel, which our trucks are not designed for more travel. When the longer shocks provide more travel it causes the upper control arm to make contact with the top coil bucket, resulting in metal to metal contact which makes a terrible banging noise. Over time it will damage the UCA and possibility a safety hazard.
