I have a 2016 dodge 1500 and finally have decided on a suspension lift kit after reading many of the post here. I ordered a zone 4" lift today with the rear 3" coils with fox 2.0 rear shocks. I also ordered some bilstein to level the truck. Does anyone have experience with this kit? I'm trying to decide what setting for the bilsteins? I would like as level as possible.
I'm going to run stock rims with spacers for now with 35 x 12.5 x 20 Nitto Trail Grapplers.

I have a BDS 4" lift with the 3" rear coil springs, and Bilsteins up front. I have my Bils set at 1.4" and it is dead level in all four corners.

Do you wish you gone 6" that was my hardest decision?

I love the 4" lift. With the front level job, my front end lifted 6.5".

I had to keep it all under a 7 foot garage door. So, a full 6" kit would not work for me.

Not a Zone, but mine is pretty level too with Bils at 1.4. And I don't regret my choice either. May be a different story if I was wanting to go with 37's.

I've got a Superlift 4" with 3" coils in the rear & the front Bilsteins set at 1.4. I'm level and happy with the 4". I don't like the look of 6" lift with 35" tires and I didn't want to run 37" tires so I'd say you're going to enjoy your set up. Don't look back, you're ok.

Yes, I think with a 4/3 lift, Bils at 1.4" gets just about everyone level.

My truck has a Zone 4" lift with 3" coils and Bilsteins sets 1.4. I am almost dead level. You will love that set up. People can't believe how nice my truck rides.

Nice truck! I can't decide what to set my bils at i currently have 3" of rake. Would the 2.1 be nose high even after they settle? what is your fender height front and back? Its seems like most people set it at 1.4 with this lift.

With a 4 inch lift Any more than 1.4 you're going to be high in the front. I only have about a half inch rake.

Keep in mind that you'll be raising the front 4" and the rear 3". So, that removes 1" of rake right there. Plus Bils @ 1.4", that takes out 2.4" total. That's going to leave you with 1/2" of rake. That won't even be noticeable. Setting at 2.1 will be nose high.

Apparently Bils do not "settle". I asked that question a few days ago in the forum and was treated like I was an idiot for even asking that question.

My stock height front fender was 36.7". After all the work, it ended up at 43.5". Remember, going from stock 33" tires to 35"s will also raise your fenders 1".

This ^^ is your answer. You typically want to retain about 0.5" of rake to avoid looking nose high. So with the lift kit and Bilsteins at 1.4" you'll be right where you want to be.

They don't really settle at all because they use the OEM springs which are already broken in from being on the truck with the OEM struts. The only thing that really makes the front end settle slightly is a front end alignment. That will typically drop the front end around 0.25"-0.5" after a leveling kit or lift kit is first installed.

My stock fender heights are currently
Rear - 39 ¼"
Front - 36 ¼"

Tires currently measure 31"

The Zone lift and 35" will raise my back to 44 ¼" and the front to 42 ¼"
With the bils set at 1.4 should raise me up close to 43 ¾"
leaving me with about ½" of rake

i guess that makes sense, better to have a bit of rake then front even a bit higher

Excuse me for sounding like an idiot. Still new to this Ram stuff, I'm headed in this same direction as OP, now so you use the Bilsteins in lieu of the spacers provided with the zone kit? Also if stock 20" wheels will be used with 35" tires what spacers would be needed? Thanks in advance.

The Zone spacers give you the 4" lift. The Bilstein adjustable struts give you the level. So... both are used.

I can't speak to the factory rims, but I know you can't use them without spacers.

I'm going to run 1 ½" spacers with my factory rims.
I think I could get away with less but I want the tires to stick out a bit.

So a 6" lift with 3" coils would be pretty much be the same as 4" with 3" coils with bilsteins?
