3rd brake light led bulbs

Well today i swapped my bulbs to canbus leds. The seal around the light on my 2017 seems to be a new design as its more rubbery and and bounces back after compressing it very fast.

my truck has the led package from factory. The bulbs in the 3rd brake light are not led and i replaced all 3

I have not done much light swapping. Switching to LED's is usually not as easy swapping out bulbs correct? I would love to replace all of the backup lights, turn signals, brake lights.
Maybe should look for this kind of help on a different thread.

i swapped my backup lights , license plate lights and 3rd brake lights to all canbus led works perfectly

I tried swapping mine out to CANBUS LED's. Didn't work for me. I had error messages for 3rd brake, and reverse lights. Annoying enough, that I pulled the LED's out and returned them.

Thats weird I have non canbus LEDs in my reverse lights and no error messages.

Yea, some haven't had any issues... some do. I, unfortunately, was one that had issues. It'***** and miss with these newer trucks and their electrical hookups.

Anyway... good to see that RAM upgraded the seal behind the 3rd brake light. Hopefully that will fix any future problems of leaks that we hear about.

Yeah my wife's Jeep Patriot didn't like the switch either. That's why I was asking. I have seen where others have had to put other electronics in to make them work. Less amp draw so I would think it would swap fine.

I had the exact same problem on my 2014 Sport. The 3rd brake kept giving me a bulb out warning even though it was a canbus led from Superbrightled.com. I ended up just putting the oem bulb back in. I haven't tried it on my 2016 Rebel.

i tried the superbright led bulb in my 3rd brake light on a previous truck and got errors also i returned and spent a little more money from enlight automotive and the errors went away
