I'm was in the same boat. I just ordered some eBay lights and put those on the truck while I started taking apart the OEM pair. The OEM seemed to fit in the housing better IMO.

Not sure how to do demon eyes without projectors. If you are retrofitting them, you are putting projectors into either reflector housings or replacing inferior projectors. Baking them and opening them up without putting in quality projectors would be a waste of time and effort imo. They might look trendy on the outside but still give garbage output.

I say open the oem. Put an h1 projector in there. Do your led stuff and get the best of both worlds.

Aftermarkets will open a lot easier than the OEM stuff. I vote aftermarket just for the ease. I would still do cheap projectors as you will have 10x better light output even in the stock housing and it's 90% done already as you have it open.

If your going with the TYC OEM Projectors, the led boards are mounted differently then the OEM version and any of the clear/smoked DRL lenses and clear/smoked clear corners will need to be customized to get them to fit.

I just built myself a custom set of TYC OEM projectors and I had to customize alot of **** because it was slightly different then how the OEM projectors were designed inside.

I love the fact that Pennsylvania doesn't require front tags, gives the front of trucks a much cleaner look.
