MT's have kept me going every winter for 20 yrs here in North Jersey. Any good Mud Terrain tire is like a knobby dirt bike tire that just walks you right out of snow. Ice is ice. No tires have very much traction on ice. I drive in way more snow than ice. See pics. Running these all year on my 2500 CC 6.4 Hemi. Firestone Destination MT2's. They're 275/70x18. Still new, so not able to comment on wear. Had very good handling and wear with BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on last truck with 17" rims. ('09 1500 QC 5.7 Hemi). I run studded Goodyear duratrac's. They are actually a winter tire as they they have the serve snow service rating. When you get into the big boy size you don't blizzaks or x-ice, etc, available. You get choices like commercial max traction and commercial on/off road.

That's what I just did. Studded Duratrac's.

Well I’ve been told to order the tires as late as possible especially with no guarantee that we will be getting heavy snow. For now if we do I’ll run my Subaru.
