There was some talk the other day about plugging the sensor holes in a rear bumper. I purchased a bumper from a fellow member with hole. I don't have that option on my truck. So I decided I would plug them. Went to Lowes to look around and found some chrome pipe caps. The caps were 1 1/8 dia. They fit perfect. I folded the tabs over on the back and put a little polyurethane glue on the. Once dry I sprayed some rust proofing over the back side. I think it turned out real nice. My only concern is how the caps will hold up in the winter. We will see.

That looks good man, but the plating on those caps is not very robust and will start to rust after a short period of time. They're not very expensive, so you may be changing them out every so often.

Great idea though and pretty damn creative....so good on ya!!

Looks good. One thing, go buy a few more so you have them handy. Once they start to rust, remove and replace right away. They can 'drip' rust and stain the chrome.

Yea that's kind of what I thought too. I still have the housings for the sensors. If it becomes a pain and they rust really fast I'll just put dummy sensors in the bumper. Thought I would give it a try first. I would love to come upon a set of sensors that someone didn't need. Hasn't happened yet.
