truck is a 13 express with bilsteen struts set at 2" lift, has stock size( P rated) terra grapplers, also has a aftermarket steel bumper with a weight of 180lbs. I know it's a truck and everything I've done to it has negatively effected the ride but I am taking a rode trip from Kansas to Virginia and don't want to be beat up the whole way. the struts only have 20-30k miles on them but I never replaced the rear shocks so maybe they need done. I'm leaning more towards new tires as the P rated tires have to be over inflated just to make the pressure sensors happy. would going to an E rated tire help? also thought about going to 35" for more sidewall maybe that would help, where do you guys think I should start?

an e-rated tire is going to be firmer then what you have now. jumping to a 35" tire will give more sidewall cushion but its also most likely going to be a e-rated tire so it wont be any better then what you have now, probably still firmer. what psi are you running in your tires?

I would start with a quick change of rear shocks first, if still no difference and you have loot then go air ride lol.

Also some trucks ride better when there's a little weight in the bed.

What pressure are you running in the tires?

Bilstein's are great shocks/struts but they are definitely a firmer ride than stock.

39 psi in the tires, just enough to shut off the sensors

Think the air in the bags are causing it? I had a buddy put air bags on his ram and his ride went to **** because of them.

My buddies did and he found that his gauge was off 4 psi so there was an extra 4 psi in there.. Not saying it's the cause, just throwing ideas your way cause of what he found with his.

Lower the air pressure to about 34 pounds. That shouldn't set off the tps system.
