I was wondering I just had new wheels and tires. 35 Toyos on 22 inch wheels. I was curious if the new tires require a min pressure of 65#. Yet the tire place used the sensors from my stock wheels, which were rated for 44# of pressure.

So I guess what im wondering is if the the pressure needs to be set at 65# do I need new sensors rated for that pressure, and will the truck properly read the new tire pressure. or do I have to live with the low tire pressure light on all the time.

The light may stay on, but I can find out if you can change it with a scan tool tomorrow. I think you can change it.

why would the tires need 65 pounds of pressure? Sure that's not the max pressure for the tires?

ive never run tires less than maybe 5psi under the max. I have always been told thats how you get the best tread life. And it has worked for me in the past.

Hey Quiet sorry for posting in wrong room

Wow 65psi on a 1/2 ton truck tires. I ran higher pressure in my 3/4ton truck tires 45 up frotn and 65 in ther rear when I was towing. Im nto so sure I would go that high on a 1/2 truck tire.
