SO, I decided to pull the trigger, and be DONE with messing with headlights... Ordered a pair of TYC projectors, harnesses, and bulbs to run with my current ddm hid kit..

So, so far I have had:

Factory quads with led bulbs
Factory quads with ddm hid kit
Spyder ebay lights retroed with knock off morimoto projectors

LED lights were brighter than halogen, but not nearly as bright and not the output of HID..

Hid was great, but the scatter was meh

My retroed lights, are nice, but I cant get the drivers light to seal 100%, and every time i wash the truck, it condenses enough to annoy me, and aiming them(removing the housing and guessing and checking) is annoying..

Im dead set on this being the last time I mess with headlights... Hopefully with the money I just sent to JJ it will be.. Scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so hopefully i can get the time after i get home from work to do the install

Ill be going with almost the same setup, having had the factory projector with jj's hids and going to quads on my new 16 theres big lack of lighting, was in a big debate of going with tycs or doing a retro on the quads but decided tycs, 50w 5500k hid's all from jj, after taxes sometime

I have a 35w DDM kit now.. I may debate a 50w setup at some point, depends on how the output is. I'm assuming VERY good lol. I hope to god anyway

Well, fed ex decided to **** me over...

Apparently there was a "weather related delay" and I won't have them till tomorrow.

Funny though, it was about 20 degrees today, roads were a little icy this morning, but cleared up by about 9:00am. I actually SAW a fed ex truck driving in the southern part of the town I live in.

Hopefully my package isn't misplaced, I'll be royally pissed off!

TYC projectors with 55w ballasts and Morimoto 5500k bulbs= GREAT output

Thats my setup now and it is comparable to my old setup which was retrofitted dual headlights with morimoto H1 6.0 projectors and 35w ballasts.

The TYC headlights are SO much better than the OEM projectors headlights. The cutoff line is more defined and there is more output.

I do recommend running 55w ballasts though. Since the projector lens isn't clear, it reduces the light output and clarity.

Well, bad luck struck again....

Got my lights today, opened the first box, pulled the light out, and I hear "thud thud thud"

huh.. weird..

look closer, and YUP, nice little crack on the back of the drivers side light, right where the projector mounts to the housing.

SOOOOOOOOOO JJ is awesome and sending another one out to me asap, but probably wont be till some time next week until i get it.

I did get the passenger side all set up, installed the hid bulb, and ready to go in.

....and I was all super excited to get them installed today too :(
