Why is my bed offset to the right?

Just noticed that the bed of my truck is cocked about an inch (maybe more) to the passenger side.

This is a '13 Ram 1500 Quad cab with a 4.7l.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Is this a factory defect or done on purpose?

Sometimes they just come that way. Take it to the dealer, if it's under warranty, they'll fix it.

Mine is about 1/2 to the passenger side. Dealer knows about mine...Apparently the body needs to be moved not the bed

You cant find a truck any brand that doesn't have this problem. Bumpers, beds you name it. Its not just vehicles either its everything. Companys have traded craftsmanship and pride in a quality product for higher profit margins.

Long as it doesn't cause problems, I can live with it.
Especially if the body has to be moved.
The bed would probably be easy to move, but the body... seems like a headache.

If you adjust the bed you will need to do the rear bumper also

If its under warrantee I'd make them fix it whatever it takes. When the truck is a little older and you try and sell it, it may make it look like its been in an accident.

My dad's '72 Ford had this.

Of course, it's because he had them put an extra leaf in the left rear spring, since the camper he used to have on it was heavier on the left side. :D

Are you talking about leaning to one side? I think the OP is talking about the bed sticking out further on one side from the cab than the other.

If hes talking about height. I noticed this with my coil springs the passenger side was compressed more or something.

Its not a height or lean issue. the body and bed are not lined up correctly. It seems there is very little adjustability in the bed so the body has to be moved. I was told like 5 hours by the dealership to fix it. Mine is only about 1/2" off to the passenger side, I did not notice it while at the dealership. I am waiting to see if I have any other issues with the truck and bring it all in at once. Not a huge deal for me...I can live with it.
