My drivers seat clicks/pops when making right hand turns. It is fairly consistent and repeatable. I have not noticed it during left hand turns. At first I was concerned it was something in the suspension moving. I've looked under the seat and there is nothing loose moving around and hitting the seat mounts. It does feel like it is on the left side of the seat. Could it be something in the suspension or is it just my big ass stressing the left side seat mounts?

I've tried to ignore it, but I'm starting to make granny turns by slowing down and widening out. I shouldn't have to modify my driving style for a repeatable noise. Have any of you come across this? Any ideas?

Thanks!

The driver seat in my truck was making a popping noise when taking turns and going over some bumps. I took it to the dealer, truck was still under warranty, and they ended up telling me that the problem was the seat adjuster frame. They told me one of the welds had cracked. The dealer ended up replacing the adjuster frame under warranty.

Not as of yet. I'm running in to an alignment/wobbling issue that I need to resolve first. Your comment did give me direction though, I will be taking it into the dealer before warranty runs out.

I asked and they said they didn't know where it was on the frame but they said it was cracked. To me it sounds like parts changing gone lucky but I haven had any problems since they changed out the adjuster frame.

Silly question, but have you guys checked the bolts in the floor? The holes in the front legs of the seat are bigger than the bolts so they rely on the friction against the head of the bolt to keep the seat from bouncing. I had one loosen just a bit and my seat would pick up on that one corner ever so slightly.

I checked mine before taking my truck to the dealer and they were tight.

Time to bring back an old thread. I'm having this same issue in my driver seat but mine does it turning left or right. Sometimes makes the noise when I'm getting out of the truck too. I have a 2014 crew cab 4x4 that went out of warranty in August. Guess I'll be checking the bolts and possibly ordering a new frame if need be.

Some dealers will let you squeak in if you're just out of warranty, can't hurt to ask...

I tried, dealer service guy wasn't hearing it. Looked up a new adjauyer frame - found it for $216. Cheaper than paying the dealer for labor + parts.
