passenger seat dont move.

I just tried moving my passenger seat today, and it wont move. The bar lifts, but thats it. 2014 3500 tradesman. Maybe its not supposed to move as the jack is under there???

It moves. I have a 1500 express, it's the same seat. Mine won't move unless someone is sitting in it.

It's supposed to move. I have a 1500 Tradesman and the jack is in the same spot. Have you tried moving it while sitting in it?

I'll be damned, never tried it and yes someone has to be in it. Wonder what the reason for that is? Drivers side moves freely....

Maybe uses same wiring as smart airbags (so passenger airbag will not deploy if a child is sitting in the passenger seat)?

I'm not sure of the reason I know it's really annoying if your trying to move it up and your not on that side of the truck.

In the tradesman the seats are manual not powered. I think the catch just needs some weight on the seat to release.
