OK, I feel like an idiot for even asking.....but I cant seem to get any steering wheel covers to work on my 2014 Ram? Most covers say they will fit 15.5.....but I cant get it to work. Can anybody confirm a standard cover will work before I man handle the stupid thing? Irritated

About 2 weeks ago I ordered a custom WheelSkins Steering Wheel Cover from https://www.leatherseats.com/shop/interior-accessories/steering-wheels.html for my 2012 Ram. It was only $65 and you get to customize the colors. It not a conventional steering wheel "cover", it's actually a steering wheel "skin". The difference with the steering wheel skin is that it comes in your choice of solid or multi-colored design and includes thread in the color of your choice and a needle and you actually thread the "cover" over your wheel. It's more of a semi-permanent option versus a normal steering wheel cover that just slips on and off. With this kind of cover, you can have a new steering wheel that looks OEM because it is stitched over top of your old steering wheel.

If $65 is too much you can always order one from www.wheelskins.com. They have 3 different styles for different prices and have all sort of color options and thread colors etc.

And if www.wheelskins.com is still too much money for you, they have the same ones with the needle and thread on eBay for anywhere from $8 shipped to $25 shipped that are the same exact thing but cost alot less because they are not "name brand".

As for the old school slip over steering wheel covers I'm not sure what will fit your truck. I do know that on my 2006 Ram I had to SERIOUSLY stretch the cover to get it over my wheel. What I did was use a screw Driver and once I got a 1/4 of the cover started, I used the screwdriver to slide around the wheel using the screwdriver to "pry" and "push" the cover over the wheel. It eventually worked and fit but it took a TON of muscle and force. They are designed this way so they don't slide around and cause you to crash when you try to turn your steering wheel.

I had a black leather cover from Andvance Auto on my '01 to protect the leather wheel. I moved it to my '15 plastic wheel. It was a tight fit but it worked. It made the wheel really fat though. I didn't like it so when I decided on the audio control upgrade I got a leather wheel on eBay.

There is the answer, I was going to say try a heat gun or just a hair dryer to soften up the cover. A little soapy water on the wheel will make it a little easier also.
My wheel is showing wear on the back side so I will be looking to do something soon myself.

I found one at "Auto Zone" tonight that was advertised for trucks. Fit 15-16" steering wheels. It went on tight but as someone else stated, makes steering wheel feel really fat. I have big hands, so I don't mind it.

When I installed one on my F150 it was so tight that I went into "it will work or I will destroy it mode" and it finally went on and is still there 3 years later. It came from Auto Zone or Meijer, definitely not high end. The moral of the story, if at first you don't succeed, get angry.:)
