I keep it on my person, I did had one but I was told that it have to be on your person but I would check your state.

Texas law says I can keep one in my truck because it is an extension of my property so it is just like keeping one at your house.
I don't have my chl yet, I will probably get it within the next few months but I have a 5in XDM and a 5in Beretta m9 so nothing I could really conceal carry. So I was looking for ideas to holster one inside the cab that is easy to get to but out of sight.
I am not opposed to mounting it in the console but I would be interested in seeing other ideas.

Oh okay, I had a XDm .45 acp with the 5' barrel but I traded, down through the years I have seen many ways on carrying in your truck or car, none don't come to mine yet. I use to carry my XDs .45 acp under my driver seat here.

T things, first Texas doesn't have a CHL. It is an LTC. Now that we have open carry it covers both. Second, you can cc those 5" one. I am only 5'7" 165 and I carry a full size XDM .45 with no issue.
