Did they have auto-dimming high beams in '14 and does your truck have that option? Without looking it up, I think that may be the sensor for it.

I thought that is what it was but my truck doesn't have the auto dimming high beams?

Should be auto dimming for the mirror. Cover the sensor and the mirror should darken.
