As you can clearly see from the title, I'm having trouble fitting my new head unit into my truck now!


Ive made all of the connections and she's good to go, only problem..... i can't fit it into the dash....how do i make this work!? do i have to cut stuff? or what?

From what I recall reading, you have to slice the dash on either side, (the plastic) to let it open up just a touch.

Or is it hitting that metal bracket in there?

You have to cut the pastic on both sides as well as the top of the metal rectangular bracket. I will try to find one of those threads for you with pics of this.

Sometimes, if the head doesn't fit, you have to sneak the thumb in there first and pull down a bit to open it up...

best part is it doesnt work.... i redid a bunch of splices... was getting really frustrated. then check the fuse haha yep, blew the fuse. must wait till tomorrow to use it
